Biography: Dr. Xiqin Liu is a professor in linguistics at the School of Foreign Languages, South China University of Technology (SCUT), Guangzhou, China. Her research interests cover lexicography, psycholinguistics, multimodal discourse studies, and cultural studies. She has published internationally in journals like International Journal of Lexicography, Lexikos and Visual Studies. As an advisor of PhD, MA and MTI candidates, she also serves the Research Center for Indian Ocean Island Countries (SCUT), a Regional and Area Research Base of the Chinese Ministry of Education.
